One could go into the sear for over a hundred meters without the water reaching the chest. Whale watching is a common pastime in the seas off Trincomalee. Apart from whale watching one can enjoy the sight of the fishing process on the beach during good weather. June to September is the usual season for whale watching in Trincomalee.
