Day 1 | AIRPORT – SIGIRIYA
Travel Time: Approx. 3.5 hours / 145 km

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal chauffeur guide and introduced to the journey ahead. Travel inland to Sigiriya, where a refreshing herbal drink—Koththamalli (coriander), known locally for its immune-boosting properties—awaits you on arrival at the hotel lounge. This is a common drink among the locals and is known to boost your immunity.

After a smooth check-in, take time to unwind and settle into your surroundings.

Day 2 | SIGIRIYA
After breakfast, ascend the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion’s Rock), a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 5th century. This extraordinary citadel is renowned for its frescoes, landscaped gardens, and remarkable architectural ingenuity.

In the afternoon, explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa by bicycle. Once the island’s thriving medieval capital, its well-preserved ruins reflect the grandeur of a bygone era and remain one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive archaeological sites.

Day 3 | SIGIRIYA
Begin the day (8.00 AM) with a guided village experience through Augandawa, either by bicycle or on foot. Visit a local temple for blessings, then continue to a villager’s home to sample traditional refreshments (herbal drink & Sri Lankan short eats) or fresh king coconut. The journey takes you through scenic paddy fields and chena cultivations, offering an authentic glimpse into rural life.

In the afternoon, set out on a private safari at Minneriya National Park. During the dry months (June to September), hundreds of elephants gather around the reservoir in search of water. Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted at one place, anywhere else in the world!

Depending on elephant movements, the safari may take place in Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Eco Park to ensure the best viewing opportunities.

Conclude your final evening in Sigiriya with a pre-dinner Arrack cocktail (02 shots per person), followed by a specially prepared three-spice chicken curry served at the garden restaurant.

Continue to Kandy, the island’s historic hill capital, where the cultural legacy of Sri Lanka is still vividly preserved. This UNESCO heritage site was originally known as Senkadagala. On arrival, visit the revered Temple of the Tooth, which enshrines a sacred tooth relic of the Buddha and remains one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the country. Historically, possession of this relic symbolised the right to rule the country.

Proceed thereafter to the cool highlands of Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival, check in and relax amidst the peaceful mountain surroundings.
