Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal chauffeur guide and introduced to the journey ahead. Day 2 | SIGIRIYA
After breakfast, ascend the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion’s Rock), a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 5th century. This extraordinary citadel is renowned for its frescoes, landscaped gardens, and remarkable architectural ingenuity.
In the afternoon, explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa by bicycle. Once the island’s thriving medieval capital, its well-preserved ruins reflect the grandeur of a bygone era and remain one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive archaeological sites.

Day 3 | SIGIRIYA
Begin the day (8.00 AM) with a guided village experience through Augandawa, either by bicycle or on foot. Visit a local temple for blessings, then continue to a villager’s home to sample traditional refreshments (herbal drink & Sri Lankan short eats) or fresh king coconut. The journey takes you through scenic paddy fields and chena cultivations, offering an authentic glimpse into rural life.
In the afternoon, set out on a private safari at Minneriya National Park. During the dry months (June to September), hundreds of elephants gather around the reservoir in search of water. Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted at one place, anywhere else in the world!
Depending on elephant movements, the safari may take place in Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Eco Park to ensure the best viewing opportunities.
Conclude your final evening in Sigiriya with a pre-dinner Arrack cocktail (02 shots per person), followed by a specially prepared three-spice chicken curry served at the garden restaurant.

Day 4 | SIGIRIYA – KANDY
Travel Time: Approx. 5 hours / 165 km
After breakfast, visit the impressive Dambulla Cave Temple, a.k.a. Golden Temple of Dambulla, a UNESCO-listed site featuring centuries-old murals and Buddha statues within a series of rock caves. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.
Continue to Kandy, the island’s historic hill capital, where the cultural legacy of Sri Lanka is still vividly preserved. This UNESCO heritage site was originally known as Senkadagala. On arrival, visit the revered Temple of the Tooth, which enshrines a sacred tooth relic of the Buddha and remains one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the country. Historically, possession of this relic symbolised the right to rule the country.
Proceed thereafter to the cool highlands of Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival, check in and relax amidst the peaceful mountain surroundings.

Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, enjoying the cool climate and charming colonial atmosphere of the hill country.

Travel towards the south-west coast to Wadduwa, where golden beaches and swaying palms create the perfect tropical escape.

After breakfast, depart for the airport. En route, take in a brief sightseeing tour of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, the executive and judicial capital of Sri Lanka (while Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte serves as the legislative capital). Located on the west coast near the Kelani River, Colombo is a major port city with one of the largest artificial harbours in the world and handles the majority of the country’s foreign trade.
