Day 1 | AIRPORT to NEGOMBO
You will be warmly greeted by our representative with a traditional Sri Lankan welcome and will transfer to your hotel in Negombo. Arrive, check in and relax. Enjoy cycle ride in Negombo City. Approximately 2 ½ hrs. For an unforgettable insight into Sri Lankan culture and street life choose our exciting half day morning tour. Depend on your arrival time. Pick up is at 3pm. You will be taken through the most beautiful and interesting aspects of Negombo and learn about its history, as well as the most interesting sightseeing spots. One of our experienced tour guides will take you for a bicycle tour through the city of Negombo. You will be amazed how much of the scenery you normally miss. It’s fun, it’s convenient and you will see a lot more riding your bicycle. Your guide will tell you interesting facts and beautiful anecdotes about all the nice spots you visit. Day 2 | NEGOMBO to SIGIRIYA
Early morning proceeds Fish Market in Negombo. Thereafter, proceed to Sigiriya, enroute Climb Pidurangala Rock -Destination for moderate hikes to the top of the rock, popular for panoramic views. Arrive, check in and relax. Overnight accommodation at SigiriyaJungles
Day 3 | SIGIRIYA
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Polonnaruwa ancient city. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Medieval Capital City of Polonnaruwa (By Cycle). This was declared as an UNESCO heritage site in 1982. After the demise of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa became the middle historic capital of Sri Lanka (1017 – 1235 AD). Return to hotel and relax. Afternoon visit Minneriya National park for a half a day safari-Afternoon around 2.45PM set on an exclusively private jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park to witness the unique phenomenon of elephant gathering. During the dry season, from June to September, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank for water. Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted at one place, anywhere else in the world! *Depending on the elephant migration patterns the safari will be done in Minneriy or Kaudulla or Eco Park*. Day 4 | SIGIRIYA
Breakfast at the hotel. Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion’s Rock), one of the most extraordinary artistic complexes of its time (477 – 498 AD). Declared as an UNESCO heritage site in 1982, this magnificent citadel allures artistic and architectural curiosity from around the globe. Return to hotel and relax. Afternoon village tour in Sigiriya, leave on bicycles (or walking) through Augandawa Village, visit the local temple and evoke blessings from the priest. Visit a villager’s house and enjoy a herbal drink (with Sri Lankan short eats) or a king coconut. Ride through the village passing paddy fields and Chena cultivations. Day 5 | SIGIRIYA to KANDY
Early morning proceeds to Kandy with packed breakfast.Morning by 8.30 am you will be picked up from Kandy by our guide and the tour will start for one night two days camping in Knuckles Mountain Range. You will be transferred 22km from Kandy via Mahiyangana Road and then another 18km inland to start your trekking through paddy fields, tea plantations vegetable fields , spice gardens and plateaus. In this trek you will be climbing from 1200ft to 1850ft and it’s approximately 16-18km. You will be able to witness some of the species such as barking deer, deer, birds and many types of Lizards. At the end of the trail you are welcome to swim and relax in a nice waterfall. Drop off to your hotel by 5pm. Overnight accommodation at Villa 49.
Day 6 | KANDY to KITULGALA
Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter proceed to Kitulgala (approximately 2hrs drive)-Kitulgala is a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. The Academy Award-winning the Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundations for the bridge. Enjoy white water rafting- 5km- Strictly adhere to the command given by your guide. Wear all your safety gears. Return to hotel and relax. Overnight accommodation at Plantation Hotel Kitulgala
Day 7 | KITULGALA- HATTON to NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter proceed to Hatton. Train journey from Hatton at 1.28pm to Nanuoya by 15.01. Enjoy your scenic train journey in Hill Country. Upon arrival visit tea plantation. Thereafter proceed to your hotel. Check in to hotel and relax. Overnight at Miraj Kings Cottage
Day 8 | NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at the hotel , Proceed to Horton Plains and start climb Kirigalpotta. Kirigalpoththa is the 2nd highest Mountain of Sri Lanka after Pidurutalagala. The peak elevation is 2,388 meters above sea level. Also, it is the highest point in the Horton Plains National Park. And most importantly the highest peak accessible to the public and tourists without prior approvals. Trail to summit of this Kirigalpoththa is a good reflection of the raw natural beauty of Horton Plains. The trial is 14 km both ways. And will take around 5 1/2 hours of trekking, hiking & mountaineering challenges. Attempting Kirigalpoththa is for the daring adventurers. Because, as the conditions can be treacherous due to the difficulty of the terrain and weather. A single & a slightly over grown path through grassy plains, cloud forest, swamp. And finally steep rocky surface which lay at a 30 degree angle dropping into a boundless gap. But once you reached the top it gives you a picturesque site of the mountain ranges of Sri Lanka.ri Lankan Leopard & Sambur are the bigger wild animals you may come across. If you are lucky, you may even encounter a few endemic bird species. Such as Yellow eared bulbul, Ceylon white eye, Dull blue flycatcher, Ceylon scimitar babbler. Elevation gain of Kirigalpoththa is 290 meters. The best hiking season runs through December to April months. July and August also recommended. Return to hotel and relax. Day 9 | NUWARA ELIYA to ELLA
Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter proceed to Ella . Visit Little Adam’s Peak Or Ella Rock. Ella Rock is a famous hiking attraction in Ella, Sri Lanka. Panoramic views with mist and cloud covering the area is a treat to watch.Overnight accommodation at Waterfall Homestay
Day 10 | ELLA to YALA
Breakfast at the hotel.Check out and proceed to Yala , Enroute enjoy Zip Lining in Ella.Afternoon safari at Yala National park.*YALA (RUHUNA) NATIONAL PARK * – the Ruhunu National Park covers 126,786 hectares including the Strict Natural Reserve (Block II). The most familiar is Block I (14,101 hectares) and this block was established in 1938.Yala is famous for its big herds and large number of Elephants, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Sambhur, Crocodiles, Mongoose, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, and many other animals. More than 130 bird species are recorded which includes the resident and winter visitors. There are 7 Bungalows inside the Park with few Camp Sites. Day 11 | YALA to MIRISSA
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Harbor. Set sail at 4 pm from Mirissa Fisheries harbour on board our 53′ catamaran into the sunset. Guests can swim, paddle board in Weligama bay. Dinner is served on board, in the seclusion of the red cliff of Weligama. Overnight accommodation at a Catamaran
Day 12 | MIRISSA
Awake at sunrise and enjoy a cooked hot breakfast and local fresh fruits and leisurely cruise taking in the sights of the Giants of the ocean. Lunch is served at noon as beach where guests can enjoy swimming and paddle boarding. Guests will be back in Mirissa Harbour to get off board. Check in to Hotel and relax.
