You will be warmly greeted by our representative with a
traditional Sri Lankan welcome and will transfer to your
hotel in Negombo.
Negombo is a city on the west coast of Sri Lanka, north
of the capital, Colombo. Near the waterfront, the
remains of the 17th-century Dutch Fort now house a
prison. Negombo Lagoon, lined with fishermen’s huts,
feeds into the Dutch-era Hamilton Canal. The canal leads
south to Colombo. Neoclassical St. Mary’s Church,
completed in the 1920s, features a ceiling decorated
with vivid religious paintings

Day 2 | NEGOMBO- SIGIRIYA
Early morning proceed to Fish Market.
Negombo is well known for traditional fishing industry
on the network of canals of Dutch-era connecting to
Negombo lagoon. The town is home for the Island’s
second largest fish market, as locals call – “Lellama”.
Lellama is one of the eye catching places in Negombo,
particularly for foreigners. Visitors get a chance to walk
on the beach and watch fishermen untangle their
fishing nets.

Afternoon climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress. (Lion’s Rock, one
of the most extraordinary artistic complexes of its time
(477 – 498 AD. Declared as an UNESCO heritage site in
1982, this magnificent citadel allures artistic and
architectural curiosity from around the globe.

Day 3 | SIGIRIYA
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Medieval Capital City of
Polonnaruwa (By Cycle). This was declared as an
UNESCO heritage site in 1982. After the demise of
Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa became the middle
historic capital of Sri Lanka (1017 – 1235 AD).
Afternoon around 2.45PM set on an exclusively private
jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park to witness the
unique phenomenon of elephant gathering. During the
dry season, from June to September, hundreds of
elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank for water.
Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted
at one place, anywhere else in the world! *Depending
on the elephant migration patterns the safari will be
done in Minneriy or Kaudulla or Eco Park

Day 4 | SIGIRIYA - KANDY
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, Enroute visit Dambulla Cave
Temple, The Dambulla Cave Temple was built by king Walagambahu
in the 5th century B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most
impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves
with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest
area of paintings found in the world.
Thereafter proceed to Kandy.Kandy, the Hill Capital (1514 – 1815
AD. Originally known as Senkadagala, the city eventually came to
know as Kandy. Kandy was declared as an UNESCO heritage site in
1988. The style and character of the Sri Lankan civilization at the
time is well articulated in the heart of the city itself.

Late afternoon at leisure to relax and explore the city of Kandy (By
Tuk Tuk) & Bazaar at your own pace. Evening visit the Temple of
Tooth, with its guardian elephants is a deeply significant Buddhist
site that contains a tooth of Buddha collected from his funeral pyre
and this draws thousands of pilgrims from across the world.

Day 5 | KANDY - NUWARAELIYA
Breakfast at the hotel.
Thereafter proceed to Nuwaraeliya.
Get in to train to Nuwaraeliya. A train journey is
truly a rare experience and is an adventure itself!
Apart from the breathtaking sceneries of the tea
country and picturesque waterfalls, it is a chance for
you to mingle with the local people. (Train tickets are
issued by the railway on a manual basis exactly 01
month before arrival therefore train journey is
strictly 0n Availability.)
Reach Nuwaraeliy and thereafter visit to a Tea
factory. Here you will enjoy the absolute tea
experience, taking you to the moment the young tea
leaves are plucked from the plantation to being
processed in the factory to make a steamy cup of tea.
If you are interested, the tea factory is the best place
to purchase good quality tea.

Day 6 | NUWARAELIYA
Early morning with packed breakfast proceed to Horton
Plains National Park.
Horton Plains National Park is a national park in the
central highlands of Sri Lanka that was designated in
1988. It is located at an elevation of 2,100–2,300 m and
encompasses montane grassland and cloud forest. It is
rich in biodiversity and many species found here are
endemic to the region.
Return to hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7 | NUWARAELIYA – ELLA
After breakfast proceed to Ella,
Ella is a small town in the Badulla. It is approximately
200 kilometres east of Colombo and is situated at an
elevation of 1,041 metres above sea level. The area has
a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of
flora and fauna.
Arrive, Check in and Relax at the hotel.
Afternoon explore Little Adam’s Peak. The Little
Adam`s Peak, 1141 m high, is fairly easy to climb, with a
good path all the way up.The trip will take about 2-3
hours in total.

Day 8 | ELLA – BUTTALA
Morning Hike to Ella Rock
The Ella Rock Hike in Sri Lanka is a well known spot,
with breathtaking views. Ella Rock is located in Ella, a
town high in the mountainous region of Sri Lanka.
Standing at an elevation of 1,041 meters above sea
level, Ella Town is located right in the center of the
island, and you can start the Ella Rock hike directly from
the main high street. It will take approximately 3hrs and
considered as moderate hike.
Return to hotel , thereafter proceed to Buttala, Nestled
