Galle Beach

The city of Galle is located on the Southwestern Coast of Sri Lanka and is a place full of wonders and exquisite beauty. The city was first fortified by the Portuguese, then colonized by the Dutch and finally ruled by the British hence the City encompasses a beautiful blend of all the cultures. Being a very important location historically, the Galle Fort is preserved very well with some of the most known artifacts, preserving and renovating some of the Dutch period houses and buildings for personal and commercial purposes. A half-a-day walking tour is highly recommended.A boat ride along the Madu River is another ‘must-experience adventure’ during your visit to Bentota if you like to fully experience the essence of the area. Enjoy the thick mangroves setting along with your ride and witness many varieties of birds and small reptiles experiencing a unique wildlife adventure.
